Michael Seeraj

Michael Seeraj is A Painted Life’s Founder and its resident artist. Originally born in Toronto, Canada, Michael showed an interest in art at a very young age. At age 8, he would beg his parents to take him to the Royal Ontario Museum. His other love was comic books. He would even sneak out of the house to the local convenient store to purchase his comics. He would, then, try to reproduce the characters on loose-leaf notebook paper. His fascination was with the human form.

Unfortunately, his artistic passions were not encouraged. Thus, life steered him towards a more business-oriented career. However, a void still existed.

While moving into an apartment in Miami, Florida, Michael accidentally found a discarded set of oil pastels. Having had no formal training, his artistic curiosity was sparked, and he timidly attempted his first oil pastel. This attempt ignited his artistic passion again. He could not stop painting.

In an attempt to unite his business career with his passion, Michael established A Painted Life. His dream is to provide every customer with an affordable opportunity to own customized artwork. In the same manner, his vision is to encourage other artists by offering subcontracted employment for them to demonstrate their artistic skills. This can, in turn, afford them an opportunity to further their individual artistic careers.
